Wedding locations galore!

Ever since I got engaged to my handsome D in February, wedding planning has been in the back of my mind. We haven't set a date yet, which gives me the opportunity to find inspiration for my indecisive self. When I've thought about our wedding, I've always envisioned getting hitched on the beach (barefoot, maybe?). So with this in mind, I've been thinking of locations in South Florida. I've made a list (not the shortest) but I can't shorten it until I have a date and I can see how much $$$ everything costs. These are my options, so far...

1. Pierre's Restaurant/Morada Bay Beach Cafe, Islamorada, Fl
I love, love this place. It's absolutely gorgeous and of course, beauty comes with a hefty price tag. This is my ideal place but I'm realistic and I know it pr
obably won't happen, but it doesn't hurt to ask!

2. Key Largo Grande Resort and Beach Club, Key Largo, Fl
I’ve never been to this place but I found it online and I’ve driven past it on US1. The pics from the website look beautiful – I really want to check this place out. http://www.keylargoresort.com/meetings_and_weddings/index.cfm

3. Red Fish Grill
D’s mother got married here and it was absolutely stunning. The key to this place is to get married during the day and not at night…unless you can afford to close down the entire restaurant. Regardless, I think it’s pointless to get married on the beach at night - you can’t enjoy the view!

4. Deering Estate
This place is beautiful but it’s super, super pricey. The only exception is if my guest list is 75 peeps or less. That might be nearly impossible, but you never know.

5. Public parks – Cape Florida, Crandon Park, Miami Beach
All of these places are on the water and the views are amazing. The only problem is that these would be great ceremony locations but the reception would have to be held elsewhere.

So that's my list...I'll probably tweek it here and there but I hope it's one of these places! :)

What's your name, Mii?

Today, the Wii Fit decided to let me know that I haven't been on it in 72 days. It guilted me and pretended not to know my Mii name. At least I lost 2.6 pounds in those 72 days...

Nom nom nom

I heart Ace of Cakes. Seriously, watching this show makes me so jealous. I want to work at a cool bakery.

Here's my favorite cake (I can't help the fact that I'm a Lost fan)...

Ah the temptation!

Last night I had the epiphany to create a blog. I didn't have to chance to start one, so I got around to it today...at work. After going back and forth with my computer, who refused to let me on the site, I went on to my handy iCrack (oops, I meant iPhone) and signed up. Ta-da, it worked!

So this is my first post. I'd like to start blogging now (so many ideas in my head) but tear, I have to go back to work. Ciao!
