This past week has been...to say the least...hectic. And I'm so very glad to see the end of it. All I have to do is get through work tomorrow and I'm free to jump on 2 planes to reunite with my D. I miss that redneck.

Sushi and bikinis

Last night, I was having a major craving for sushi. So I texted my friend and we went to a new sushi place that Yelp recommended.

Side note: I've given up on taking pictures of my outfits. It's been cold for a while and I feel like I wear the same things over and over again. Skinny jeans, boots, black t-shirt, and jacket. Rinse and repeat.

Back to sushi - the food was good but the service was seriously slacking. We ordered some Thai doughnuts to go and headed to our local Target to pick up a movie.

While there, I made my first bikini purchase of the year. Trust me when I say this - I have a bikini addiction. Last year I probably purchased 10 sets, I shit you not. I'm actually impressed I waited till the end of February. But if it counts, I did purchase 2 sets this past December. See? I do have a problem.
Last summer I was on the hunt for a yellow polka dot bikini. I found a red one and I love it! I still wanted my yellow bikini, so I picked up this set. I like the ruffles on the top - it helps for us girls with zilch boobs.

My next bikini purchase? I'm on the hunt for a simple white bikini top. Part of my bikini addiction stems from Loehmann's. I have a tendency of buying a lot of pieces and mixing and matching. I have quite a few bottoms that would match perfectly with a white top....hence, the search.

Ok, I'm done. Good night!

Valentime's Day!

Nope, that's not a typo. I say Valentime's Day. With an M. I know, I'm special. Moving on.

This V-Day, I spent it in Miami while D was in Oklahoma. It sucked. But whatever. I had chocolate and shopping to keep me company.

D sent me some gorgeous tulips and 12 (!!!!) chocolate-covered strawberries. It was heaven.
After eating 3 strawberries in 5.6 seconds, I went shopping. My mom and I hit up the new Loehmann's Clearance Center and it was a VERY good shopping trip. We spent a total of $122 and our receipt told us we saved over $780! I spent about $75 and got 3 skirts, 1 dress, a jacket, a scarf, and a pair of sunglasses. I also passed by Forever21 and bought me a pair of skinny jeans and black leggings for my trip. That was yesterday. Today, I went to Steinmart with my mother-in-law and finally found white skinny jeans I have been searching for. They were originally $50 and the tag said $30, but once they ran it up, it was only $16! Can we say success?

On a mission...

...for some shoes. I need shoes for Italy. Here's my criteria:

1. We're doing a lot of walking. They need to be comfortable.
2. It's going to be cold. Like 50s during the day and 30s during the night cold. Shoes need to keep my toosies warm.
3. And the most important one. They need to look GOOD with skinny jeans. So I probably can't go the sneaker route. Boo.

Dresses :( and chocolate :)

I went wedding dress shopping today. One word. Bleh.

I'm nearly certain I've found 'the one' because a. I like it and b. it's cheap. On the cheap note - I'm a frugal type of gal (sometimes). And I just can't see myself spending a ton of money on a wedding dress. Yes, it's special. But I'm only wearing it for 6 hours.

Sooooo, today I went with my mom, grandma, mother-in-law, sister, and sister-in-law dress shopping. It. was. torture. They LOVED It but for me...after the fifth dress I was so over and done with it. They want to see me in this big traditional ball gown but it ain't happening. They hate the dress I really like, but oh well, tough shit. :)

Moving on. We were in the Coral Gables area and we had just had lunch at the ever-delicious Giardino's Salad. I seriously heart that place. Best tropical chicken EVER. While we were there, they had chocolate popcorn samples from a nearby chocolate shop. Holy cow, that shit was good! So good, we walked over there and I'm pretty sure I discovered chocolate heaven. I even saw white chocolate covered Oreos - I think I nearly peed myself right then and there.
Some damn good looking gelato ice cream.
The best chocolate-covered popcorn I have ever tasted.
A chocolate football! And it's only $35! Don't worry, I pretty sure it's hollow inside. If it wasn't, that would be a lot of chocolate.
And this my friends, is a chocolate way of life. I suggest you try Peterbrooke Chocolatier if you want some amazing chocolate goodness. D might even get lucky and get some sent to him all the way to Oklahoma.

Oh. crap.

...I have 32 days till Italy.

I need to book the trains.

I need to figure out airport transfers.

I need to get walking directions to everywhere.

I need to go shop and buy clothes.

Ok, that last one is probably a 'want' not a 'need.'
