Today's purchase

I've kind of had nothing to write about lately and since I want to write at least one post a week, today's post will be on my Target purchase.

I hit up Target during my lunch hour to burn money and found this...
A little retro, but I like it paired with flat sandals....perfect for summer!

P.S. I think this is the shortest post I've ever written.

Oh my geeee

Today, ladies and gents is 7 MONTHS. Till my wedding. Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.

I kind of hit a stump regarding the planning process. I got my dress, the venue, the saves the dates, the photographer, and the videographer. It's too early for invitations and I definitely don't want to conquer the beast that is flowers. So, uh, what do I do next? Any suggestions would be lovely.

Aside from an otherwise blah weekend that kept me insanely bored, I did manage to escape the house and do some 'light' shopping. I say light, because I've technically put myself in a shopping timeout. No new clothes or shoe purchases allowed! Until when...I'm not even sure.

Back to my light shopping. I went to Ulta in search of a foaming face cleanser for my Clarisonic. I had been alternating between the sample one supplied and my regular Neutrogena one, but none of them were cutting it.

I did some research and found a contender - Philosophy's Purity Made Simple.
I searched high and low at an unfamiliar Ulta and only came across Philosophy bath products. I asked an employee and she had never heard of the brand. Really? Wow.

I refuse to leave defeated so I just wandered the aisles until something caught my eye. And something sure did. I saw this brand on the very bottom shelf. Like literally, almost on the floor. It's called Formula 10.0.6 and I know you can't read a book by its cover but I really liked the packaging design. I know, I'm strange. I'm in a creative field - I can't help it, I pick up on designs and some things just stand out to me. Not to mention, the type design is similar to my save the dates. ;)

So the first bottle I picked up was the Best Face Forward Daily Foaming Cleanser. I read the description and liked the ingredients. I turned the bottle around and read "MADE IN AUSTRALIA" and that's it, I was sold.
I also picked up the Deep Down Detox Ultra-Cleansing Mud Mask.
Both of these were only $5.99. I grabbed the two bottles and walked away. I wanted to purchase the entire line but figured I should first try it out. And I can say, so far, so good. It's only been a day but I've used the cleanser twice and it definitely foams up with my Clarisonic. I haven't tried the mud mask yet, but I'll get around to it this week. And if things look good, I'm heading back and trying the moisturizer.

I love random finds.

I love Etsy

Like a lot. Seriously. It's becoming a problem.

Currently, my new obsession is finding things for my "house" (aka my imaginary house). I saw this a couple weeks ago and I have not stopped thinking about it. I love it. And I want it.
Not in pink tho. SimpleShapes will let me customize the colors. Thank goodness. I know it's unusual, but I don't care. I love it that much.

For our home office, I'd want this...
The vinyl stickers are in a dry erase material....so cool.

And then maybe something like this...
Now I know D is probably going to think I'm nuts. But, mark my words, I'm going to fight for that first one. And maybe even the second one.

Today...

...was a long day. I had spent the past night finishing up my save the dates and I went to the post office this morning to mail them. It. was. sad. Who knew you could get attached to some paper, envelopes, and stamps. I can only imagine how attached I'll get to my wedding invites. :-/

Anyways - I mailed them. And I even took pics. Yes, I was that crazy lady in the post office taking pics of placing the STDs in the thingy. Whatev. I'm going to wait to reveal the process of assembling my babies until people have received them. Although, last night my sister-in-law saw what I was working on and stole her and my brother's STD. She said she didn't want the stamp to get messed up in the mail. Great...give me something else to worry about.

Changing the topic slightly. I was reading my Google Reader and I came upon this video of a wedding ceremony. The words are really pretty. And the way they filmed it and the music they used in the background was...perfect. I felt like this couple was a movie star and I was watching their awarding-winning performance.

Will you?

I've been wanting to write this post for a looooonnnnnngggggggg time. Well, for the past week.

It was getting to the point were my bridesmaids were starting to ask me questions about dresses and I decided to make it official. A while ago, I had found these adorable "Will you be my bridesmaid?" cards on Etsy (seriously I love that site).
I bookmarked these suckers and finally ordered them last week. I requested a ton of text changes as well as a color change. In less than ONE HOUR, the seller, event123, had emailed me with questions. The following morning, I woke up and had my first proof. I changed around a couple things and by the following day, my cards were printed and in the mail. Every single experience on Etsy has been great, but this one was incredible. I am so happy with the results!

I've delivered (all but one) to my bridesmaids and the feedback has been awesome. Can't wait to deliver the last one...love em!

The envelopes...
All four bridesmaids...My two favorite questions..."yell at me to stand up straight?"
and..."promise you won't run on cuban-time?"
Real classic ;)
