Going away party

I've been putting off writing this post for the past week because I didn't have the pics. But finally, today, I managed to get my father-in-law's camera and upload the pics.

A week ago, I picked up D and we went to Perricone's for lunch. I wanted to take him out for a nice lunch before he left to Oklahoma and I also wanted to scope out this restaurant as a possible wedding reception venue. I know, I'm sneaky that way.

Lunch was delicious. I highly recommend Perricone's. After lunch, we headed back to D's house. There was this little thing going on, which was the primary reason I had to get him out of the house. Yes, I wanted to take him out to lunch and this little thing presented the perfect opportunity. What was the little thing? Oh, just a little SURPRISE GOING AWAY PARTY!

There's two ways to get to his house, so we had everyone park on one side and I took him through the other way. We parked my car and headed towards the door. He unlocked the door and instead of going straight in, he just looked back at me and motioned for me to go in. I started laughing and just pointed into the house. As soon as he looked in, our family and friends screamed "SURPRISE!" It was awesome. He was totally shocked and had no idea...I love me some good surprises.
